The Samithi was born in 1988 and formalized as a Trust in 1990 as a Public Charitable Trust.
The Samithi made a humble beginning in Chennai and over the years spread geographically to Bangalore,
Trivandrum and Hyderabad.
Started as a group activity for children as Siruvar Sangam and the focus remains in inculcating values
and development of children to be responsible citizens.
Activities under NSST
Scholarship support for school and graduate studies, and medical students.
Infrastructural support for schools and homes.
Support for Homes for the deserving and challenged.
Disaster Relief.
A Public Library in Pondicherry.
Support for School in Hyderabad.
Support for classes for those appearing in entrance and other examinations.
We have been regularly providing financial support on merit-cum- means basis for
students who have difficulty in paying their fees.
In 2020 we have helped around 50 students at different levels like high school and
graduate courses. We have been supporting student from 6th standard upto
graduation.
In 2021 we are in the process of distribution and already helped 44 students and
anticipate to go above last years numbers with the increased difficulties in the
pandemic.
This is an initiative to support students in the Medical stream in association with
Visions Global Empowerment.
To support them with a committed amount per year for each year of the medical course
disbursed against their actual expenses.
NSST have been active in distributing relief
